Vivi Loca (Irregular Killer Sudoku)

This puzzle is in honour of Tyrgannus's VIVI irregular tutorial series that he published elsewhere and that I greatly enjoyed. This puzzle uses the irregular layout of the second to last puzzle in the series ('Memoria').
- Irregular sudoku: Each row, column, and region indicated by thick borders in the grid must contain the digits 1 to 9 once each.
- Cages: An area surrounded by a dashed line is a cage. Digits in a cage cannot repeat and sum to the number in the upper left corner.

Solution code: Rows 3 and 7. I.e. the 9 digits in row 3 from left to right, followed by the 9 digits in row 7 from left to right, for example: 123456789123456789

Crazy puzzle and it took the craziest notation I think I have ever used to solve it too :D Really interesting geometry with very hard-earned but rewarding deductions. Thanks!

Insane, yet mindblowing puzzle. Not a single trick of irregular that I didn't use (or at least attempted to use) in this solve and that breakthrough really gave me a huge smile at that point. The solve was still consistent after that, but very satisfying to the end.
