- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Adjacency restriction: Orthogonally adjacent digits never differ by a multiple of 3, e.g. the digit 1 may not be orthogonally adjacent to either 4 or 7. In other words, the integers from 1 to 9 are divided into three groups with respect to their remainder mod 3 (147, 258 and 369) and no two digits from the same group may be orthogonally adjacent.
- Killer cages: Digits in a cage do not repeat and sum to the clue in the top left.
Here you can solve the puzzle online:
Solution code: Row 5 followed by Column 5, from left to right resp. from top to bottom (18 digits in total)

I’m glad you clarified your meaning of multiple because it seemed like an implicit kropki dot of ratio 3 vs. modular arithmetic. Once I grasped that it was very clear and fun solve path

Thank you for your feedback, erik! I am glad that you had a fun solve. I thought the adjacency rule might need some clarification. Therefore I've tried to explain it in detail. It's great to hear that the rule set is comprehensible right now.
