The second entry in this series of Japanese Sums puzzles changes the range of digits to include negatives and zero, which puts a twist on the classic Japanese Sums logic. The unusual ruleset might make this one a more challenging entry. Enjoy!
Rules:
Shade some cells of the grid and fill all unshaded cells with integers between -4 and 4 (including 0), such that no number repeats in any row or column.
Clues outside the grid indicate the sums of contiguous segments of unshaded cells in that row or column. There must be at least one shaded cell seperating two segments. All such sums are given and in the correct order.
?s stand for any digit 0-9, but double digit numbers may not start with a zero. No clue can be -0.
Solution code: row 7 and column 8, S for shaded cells

Nothing spikily hard for me neither, just a careful thinking and notation to no overlook some possible arithmetic combination. Very nice and smooth for me ! Thanks :)

lovely puzzle, I found the difficulty consistent throughout. Not sure what other commenters are talking about with respect to a spike at the end.

A beautiful combo of parity and sums, IMHO!

Plenty of fun! The solve rather felt surprisingly smooth for the first like 75% of the solve, then the parts towards the end required a bit more thinking but they weren't anywhere near unfair in my opinions :)

that was really great, I only found the end a bit brutal

This was just fantastic. With the exception of the logic at the very end of the puzzle (which I'm guessing is contributing to sixty percent of the 5-star difficulty estimation), nothing felt too challenging.

Neat idea and a terrific execution! There's so many beautiful little realisations to be made, and the whole puzzle felt hugely rewarding throughout! :)
