Edit: Apparently, the original was over-clued, making it possible to solve without the No7. I should have tested it better. This slightly edited version should resolve that issue.
Introducing a (relatively) new global constraint. The No7 - Orthogonally connected cells may not sum to 7. It's been seen before in a couple puzzles, but I and others have been exploring it a bit and have found some very interesting interactions.
Comments and criticism of the constraint are most welcome. As for this puzzle itself, it's more of a demo than anything.
Rules:
Solution code: Row 2 followed by Row 6

I knew I was going to forget the summing to 7 rule, and then I did! Fun puzzle.

A fun simple puzzle. Some interesting logic.

Really nice. I'm a newbie who still wants an interesting challenge so puzzles like these are perfect for me.

Totally forgot about the No7 rule until the very end...I'm a fool! Thanks for the great puzzle

Very nice puzzle. Haven’t seen the original but like the new twist with the orthogonal 7 constraint

Update: Hah. Got it. Seemed rather easy today. Some days you get the bear, and some days the bear gets you. Thanks for an enjoyable (and challenging) puzzle.
I've stared at the updated version for 2 days, and still can't figure it out. Then I went to the original and solved it in 15 minutes. Not claiming a solve though, so I'll come back at a later date and tackle the updated version again. Thanks for the puzzle, TinkerTroy.

Not sure where you got stuck at, but as near as I can tell at this point, the No7 rule will smack you around pretty good.

Fixed solve path.

Fun puzzle but I've never used the "adjacent cells do not sum to 7", so I wouldn't say it's the best puzzle demo for that rule

Thank you for pointing that out. Completely messed that up by leaving in too many clues. Should be much better now!

nice and easy! Thx.
