World Snooker Championship 2023

(Published on 15. April 2023, 13:23 by apiyo)

The World Snooker Championship is upon us once again. The numbers referenced in this puzzle are the standard maximum break (147), the very-occasionally-possible maximum break (155), the sum of the colours (27), and the six givens representing the colours on their spots. Enjoy!

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Digits on the bed of the table (shaded green) sum to 147. Digits on the rails of the table (shaded brown) sum to 155.

Digits in the cage in box 2 sum to 27.

Numbers outside the grid indicate the sum of the digits along their indicated diagonal.

Digits on a brown snooker cue increase from the butt (circle) end.

The three digits on the red triangle sum to 15.

The cue ball in box 2 connects two consecutive digits. The other two cue balls are odd digits.

The blue chalk is an even digit.

Very nice snooker-related puzzle. I like the use of 155 too!
I actually made an early mistake on my first try and realised after 45 minutes - so painful! - but was successful on my second attempt.
Thank you for this well-designed puzzle.
