This puzzle is partly inspired by Magnus Josefsson’s masterpiece “Chaos FilloSudokumino”, so please be sure to check that out too!
Rules:
Sudoku: Gray cells in the grid form a valid sudoku: These cells contain the digits 1–9 and digits may not repeat in the rows, columns, and 3x3 boxes of the gray cells.
Fillomino: White cells in the grid form a valid fillomino: Divide these cells into polyominoes so that no two polyominoes of the same size share an edge. Each white cell contains a number equal to the size of its polyomino. (White cells may contain numbers greater than 9.)
Arrows: The number in a cell with an arrow is the sum of all fillomino cells in that direction. (Sudoku cells don’t count towards the sum.) If a cell contains multiple arrows, each direction sums separately. (For example, R3C3 = R3C1 + R3C2 and R3C3 = R2C4 + R1C5.)
Solve:
Solution code: Numbers along negative diagonal (R1C1 to R17C17, no spaces)

Very smooth and fun long journey!

Lots of fun. Long but not repetitive & with a relatively even difficulty throughout. That's impressive! It feels like you packed in all of the reasonable bits of logic this ruleset implies.

Magnificent stuff, thanks. Enjoyed this from start to finish. There are a lot of deductions to be made but I didn't find any of them horribly difficult.

As this is only the second fillomino I ever solved, I don't feel qualified to rate the difficulty of it, but I can at least mention that this was quite the ride! I have no clue how this could even be created in the first place, but it was very fun, though also very hectic for me. Thank you for setting and sharing!

Fantastic puzzle! Probably my favourite from you. great ruleset and excellent design.

It was very, very hard for me. Indeed a great puzzle. Had to stare for long periods to get the pieces of logic to move forward but now I realise it’s a smooth solve if you know the right paces to look. It’s very linear also in its logic as one step leads to another. Thanks a lot for sharing this amazing puzzle.

Beautiful hybrid ! I love that kind of long solves, where no deduction is so hard that you can get stuck forever. It flows very nicely with a few challenges along the way that keep the puzzle very interesting ! Thanks !

A lovely solve. Nothing too brutal, all deductions were probably at most 4* difficulty, but there were a lot of them. Thanks for setting this :)
