Chaos Snakes

(Published on 31. March 2023, 03:35 by Dag H)

It's Chaos Snakes! A Chaos Construction puzzle where every region is also a snake. Enjoy!

Rules:

Every row, column and snake must contain the digits 1-9 once each. The finished grid will contain 9 snakes.

A snake is a set of orthogonally connected cells which is never wider than one cell, never forks and never touches itself, not even diagonally.

Digits increase along a thermo, starting at the bulb.

Digits separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio.

All thermo bulbs are snake ends. Both cells separated by a black dot must be snake ends. All touching snake ends are marked with a black dot.

Every thermo is in at least two snakes.

The break-in of the irregular sudoku is quite tricky, but very neat.

The rules say "all touching snake ends are marked with a black dot" (and not that all touching ends in a 1:2 ratio are so marked). Also, as per rules, "every thermo is in at least two snakes". These 2 rules when applied to the thermo in r9c8 to r9c9 lead to a contradiction.
