Directions in the Dark

Normal Sudoku Rules Apply. Place the digits 1-9 in each row, column, and 3x3 box with no repetition.
- Place correct digits to lift the fog.
- Digits in cages must sum to the number in the top left corner of the cage. Digits may not repeat within cages.
- Cells separated by an X must sum to 10. Cells separated by a V must sum to 5. Not all Xs and Vs are necessarily given.
- Some cells contain diagonal arrows. The arrows point to a digit in the diagonally adjacent cell. That digit will be found on the indicated diagonal in all boxes in that direction.
- No other constraints are present in the grid.

I ended up with a 3-column deadly pattern at the end 26 in column 2 box 1, 67 in column 6 box 2, and 27 in column 9 box 3. I'm not sure how I was expected to break it since I had used up all the clues; I ended guessing and it was correct.

It took me a while to figure out how those diagonal arrows work, but once I got it I realized how "revealing" they can be :P

This was a very nice puzzle for someone just recently getting into sudokus, although it was spoiled a bit near the start as i had forgotten to configure sudoku pad properly, and the fog was lifted by a guess. Still very enjoyable nonetheless

Fun puzzle. I got hung up at one point, it was hard to tell if the 'half hidden' mark was X or V. But other than that it flowed quite well.

Really cute and nice introduction to fow sudokus. Took me some time to get used to the arrow rule but after that, a really nice solve.

Very good fun. I think however I did not require the hint in R4C9 to solve the puzzle.

Like the puzzle, very straightforward. Just took a while to quite figure out what the arrow rule meant though
