Word Search Sudoku??

This is a puzzle that I made a couple months back that I kept putting off putting the final tweeks on. Thank you to RockRatZero for all the testing and feedback regarding this puzzle back then!

Rules:

Word Search Portion

Solve the word search by finding and shading in orthogonally connected cells that contain the words from the following word bank:

Tin, Treat, And, Pick, Paint, Interview, Sworn, Evening, Go, Vain, Varicose, Rig, Eagle, Live, Aims, Legs, Void, Event, Lift, Pile, Vile, Liver, Cow, On

"Sudoku" Portion

Place the digits 1 to 9 in the shaded cells so that no digits repeat in that row or column. Digits outside the grid represent the sum of the digits that appear in the first run of shaded cells on that side of the row or column. Digits separated by a white dot must be consecutive.

Great puzzle but there are two 'On's, the incorrect one being in R5C10 going backwards

I really like this puzzle :-) . Yet please consider some changes:
The rules for the Word Search part are not given clearly. I guessed them correctly, but you might give them.
This is not a Sudoku, so the Sudoku tag ist not really appropriate. You might set the Japanese Sums tag instead, because the outside clues are of that kind.
I've just noticed there is a Word Search tag. This would be fine here.

-Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad that you liked the puzzle :) I have updated the rules, hopefully they are a little clearer now. Also i have updated the tag to include "Latin Sums" and "Word Search".

-DM'd you on discord if you still need it :)

- Edit, i am an idiot AND i have no excuse... Thank You for a great puzzle!

I love this concept! Although while solving, I realized some words are actually not uniquely shadable. And some of those possible shadings also break the Sudoku part. So please fix :)

What I see is that changing the N in R10C8 is enough (as it leads to a second On)

-Ooooh good spot! Thank you for pointing this out! It is fixed as of now. Thank you for your comment and solve :)

Very creative and fun idea for a big puzzle, I enjoyed how everything connected together throughout :)

(also for someone wanting to try this, proper notation for the words is important)

-Thank you very much for the kind words! It was definitely very fun to set and play with! Also, notation is important as it's easy to miss a word, especially a couple of the more well hidden words :)
