Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply
A set of the digits 1 to 9, one in each row, column, and box, in the grid are Fountains of Youth
The fountain "splashes" the cells orthogonally and diagonally adjacent
A fountain does not splash itself, but can be splashed by other fountains
A cell may be splashed by multiple fountains.
Each time a cell is splashed, the value of the cell is reduced by one
The cages show the sum of the values of the cells it contains

Happy Birthday. What a beautiful concept. I made "splash" mistakes along the way but was able to recover and solve it.

Happy birthday in advance, and thanks for the awesome puzzle! I had a lot of fun throughout, and it solved very smoothly. It felt like around 3.5/5 for me, so maybe you should lower the difficulty to 4 stars so as to not unnessecarily scare away some solvers. :)

Changed the penpa link. It had a 10 cage instead of an 18 cage in box 5
