- Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- Pirate Sudoku: The digits 5 represent treasures which are protected by pirates (digits 1 to 4) from commoners (digits 6 to 9). Each treasure is orthogonally adjacent only to pirates and never orthogonally adjacent to a commoner. In other words: Any digit orthogonally adjacent to a 5 has a value of at most 4.
- German Whisper lines: Adjacent digits on a green line must have a difference of at least 5.
- Renban line: The purple line contains a set of consecutive non-repeating digits in any order.
Here you can solve the puzzle online:
Solution code: Row 9 followed by Column 1, from left to right resp. from top to bottom (18 digits in total)

Enjoyful puzzle! I really liked the Pirate rule. And the combination with the German Wispers was nice. Thanks!

Thank you for your comment, Cyrion! I am glad that you like the pirate sudoku rules and enjoyed the solve. The idea of combining pirate sudoku with German whispers came from the observation that both constraints affect the high/low-polarity. Maybe I will come back to it and try to set a puzzle without given digits.

I absolutely loved this puzzle. Such a delightful solve. Not too hard but enough to make you think. Beautiful interaction between pirate and German whispers. Great job. Love this pirate rule. Keep it coming.

Thank you for your kind words, dlandrum17! I am very happy how you regard the puzzle as the interaction of the pirate constraint and German whispers was its core idea.

Thank you for your kind words, Chelo! I am glad you enjoyed this variant. Just to be clear: the Pirate Sudoku is not my invention. I learned about its rule set in the qualification for the German Sudoku championship.
