PUZZLE:

RULES:

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Arrow: Digits along each arrow must sum to the digit in its originating circle.
German Whisper (green): Digits along each German Whisper line must differ by at least five [5].
Killer: Digits within a cage must sum to the number in the top-left corner.
Kropki: White dots separate two cells containing consecutive digits; Black dots separate two cells where one is double the other [ratio of 1:2] (not all dots are given).
Odd/Even: Digits within Circle cells are Odd; digits within Square cells are Even.
Renban (pink): Digits along each Renban line form a set of consecutive, non-repeating digits in any order.

FAQ:

Q: Did you make a little spaceship with arrows and build a puzzle around it?
A: Yes. Yes I did.

Q: That makes sense. Well done! Now, next question. Usually simplicity - not necessarily in logic but in layout - helps to improve a puzzle. The grid is quite full and that's a lot of rules I'm seeing, surely you could have cut that down? Switched the Renban lines for more Kropki dots, for instance?
A: Yes but laser beams.

Q: Fair point! So you ha-
A: Pew pew!

Q: Yes! Very good. Job well done! I can see you're a busy person s-... you can put your finger guns down now. Thank you. Right, I see you're busy so I'll wrap this up. Final question, how do you find personal meaning in a sometimes cold and indifferent universe?
A: It's seriously important to be silly, at least some of the time.

Somewhat harder than typical 1 star puzzles. Maybe the setters name made it feel harder ;-). Great fun thx.

I thought I was lost and then 15 minutes later the grid was filled in, the little spaceship on the bottom is delightful

Made things more complicated for myself by misregistering the box 5 dot as Black, not white... until I needed to disambiguate right at the end!
Thanks for a really nice puzzle

"EyemaPlumm: I came here to be rude about this puzzle"
wtf?

I came here to be rude about this puzzle...then I saw the finger guns... Best intro to a puzzle I've ever seen, love that there's such an element of fun behind it (it IS why we do these things, after all), and I'd love to see more setters give an intro like this. Great work, V.

First two tries I got killed near the end. (Note to self: green is not purple.) 3rd time's the charm. Pew pew. Thank you for an entertaining puzzle.
