Killer Quartet 2

(Published on 12. February 2023, 15:08 by Yawnus)

Inspired by starwarigami’s The 4-Colour Theorem (and having already used the same ruleset in my Killer Quartet), I took a challenge to create a killer sudoku with 4 hidden cage totals without any extra rules or clues. To my surprise, setting the puzzle was quite easy, and the result was also surprisingly approachable.

Ratings and feedback are appreciated. Hope you enjoy the puzzle!

Solve at F-Puzzles or CtC (with solution check).

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits in a cage sum to one of four distinct totals.

Solution code: Row 1, column 4 (18 digits, no spaces)

This was so good! It was really fun trying to determine which sums were present, and then trying to figure out which cage was which and doing the actual sudoku was great. It's a really cool concept and there's tons of great logic in here.
