Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 9 in each empty cell. Digits must not repeat within the same row, column, or box.
Renban: digits along a pink line form an unordered consecutive set of numbers.
Doublers: one digit in each row, column, and region are 'doubled' for the purposes of other clues. A length 4 renban, for example, could have the digits 2235 if one of the 2s was doubled. Each digit is doubled exactly once.
This puzzle is full of significant deductions that result in gradual progress. If you're interested in this ruleset but want a smaller number of big deductions, try
Nary A'Dot
instead! As a 'warm-up' you could also try
No Black Dots
, which is a 6x6 with this ruleset
Solution code: Column 5 (top to bottom)

I very much concur with the other comments, man that had me racking my brain thinking maybe I had missed some combination(s), and I surely broke my record for backtracking when I was actually on the correct path, but I eventually figured it out, phew! Amazing construction -- congrats on setting that monster of a puzzle!

Yep - what Playmaker said. Absolute classic, and very hard, but in a good way.

This puzzle was very close to breaking my sanity, but in the most magical way possible. That opening sequence was already wild but man, was it so consistent yet brilliant till the very end, and I had goosebumps when finishing this one.
