Normal sudoku rules apply. Before starting the puzzle, place either a 1 or 9 in the circled cell; the choice is yours, and each will produce a unique puzzle. If you chose 1, adjacent digits on each gray line must differ by at least 5. Otherwise, if you chose 9, digits on each gray line must consist of consecutive digits, in any order.

Solution code: Solution code requires solving both puzzles. The solution code is the fifth row when choosing 1 as the central digit, then the fifth row when choosing 9 as the central digit (i.e. just 18 digits)

Very nice puzzle(s), I found the renban version a bit easier but both had some fun logic deductions.
