Rules:
- Chaotic Sudoku rules apply:
- Place digits 1 to 9 so they do not repeat in each row, column, and 9-cell region. Regions must be deduced.
- Aquarium rules apply:
- Fill the regions with water up to a certain level or leave it empty.
- The water level in each region is the same across its entire width. All non-water cells should be above all water cells in the region.
- Digits in the first row show the number of filled cells in their column.
- Digits in the first column show the number of filled cells in their row.

Wonderful! Really nice and clean path merging aquarium and region building logic seamlessly. Very smooth and fun, and the final irregular Sudoku was also quite quick and painless. In my view clearly 4* difficulty, but opinions differ I guess. Great setting!

Solved it finally. I kept staring at the puzzle because I interpreted the rule for row 1 and column 1 as given digits only and not all digits. It was still very hard after correct interpretation. But flows logically at every step.

Final bit of region division is tough - I couldn't see it and only got it because it was forced. Final bit of irregular sudoku is quite hard as well - but I was able to find a well hidden set of leftovers.

This was both my first Chaos Construction AND my first Aquarium puzzle. Was I in over my head? Yes. Did I nearly give up 5 times? Yes. Was I stubborn enough that I refused to give up and kept at it until I finally triumphed? Yes. Was it worth it? HELL YEAH!
Absolutely beautiful puzzle! To be honest, I probably should have practiced EITHER rule variant before I tried to tackle them together, but this puzzle left just enough breadcrumbs to get me invested enough that I couldn't give up. I had to take a break and come back with a fresh mindset literally 5 times, but I finally cracked it! Very difficult, but very beautiful puzzle Testarossa, Instant favorite!
