Great fun ! Solved it using my own upgraded grid of the puzzle, with a blank sudoku grid besides the twisted one. Thanks for this beauty :)

Could you clarify what "X-Sums do not cross box gaps" means?
---
The boxes are separated, which means they have gaps between them. X-Sums cannot be longer than the distance to the first gap.

Very novel, the setting of the puzzle is also very good!
Btw, this may be a late reminder: When you are solving this puzzle, it is best to prepare a blank grid, and fill in the already determined boxes and the numbers in them.

Beautiful variation. Used an empty CTC grid to put the blocks in right place. Hope to see more of this kind.

Amazing puzzle! There's a lot of very neat and well telegraphed logic to figure out, I enjoyed it a lot. Opening a second penpa page was very helpful to keep track of the progression. Thank you!

Very nice and very hard. Had to open a grid in f-puzzles and place the boxes there when I solved it.
