Very nice from beginning to end! Thank you a lot. After remembering the negative-XV-constraint, the puzzle ceased to resist.

olima: ;-) You're welcome. So was I as the fog leaves quite some ambiguity. German whispers plus XV- are a powerful combo and I am preparing new puzzles using this constraint.
