Clues outside the grid are both Little Killer and X-Sum clues:
Little Killer
A clue outside the grid is the sum of the digits along the indicated diagonal. Digits can repeat along the diagonal if allowed by the other rules.
X-Sums
A clue outside the grid is the sum of the first X cells in the corresponding row/column, where X is the digit in the cell nearest to the clue.

I always surprise myself when I get to the end of a complicated solve and get it right. A lot of work nudging towards the solution, but worth it in the end
