Double Fireworks

(Published on 9. January 2023, 07:23 by antiknight)

I wanted to create a puzzle with original logic using fairly new rules. So , I thought about creating a puzzle with product arrows and doublers and I ended up with Double Fireworks. Leave a comment if you enjoy the puzzle or have any feedback on this idea.

Rules:
1) Normal Sudoku rules apply:
Place the digits 1-9 into each cell of the grid. None of the rows, columns or boldly outlined 3x3 boxes contain repeated digits.

2) Product Arrows rules apply:
The digits along each arrow must multiply to the digit in the circled cell. Digits may repeat along an arrow if permitted by other rules.

3) Doublers Rules apply:
Nine cells in the grid (one per row, column, and box) are Doublers, which count as double their value on arrows. Each digit appears in exactly one Doubler. Doublers aren't necessarily on arrows. The value of the Doubler is counted if it appears on a one cell arrow. For example , if R7C6 is a 3 and a Doubler then R6C5 is a 6.

Very nice puzzle! Just had to be very careful to take all possibilities into account with the arrows. Thank you

- Thanks and yes it's really easy to miss a possibility especially that there can be doublers on the arrows. I appreciate your feedback.

Fantastic setting as always! It's incredible how simple yet fresh the logic is from the doubler-constraint, hopefully we see a lot more puzzles like this.

- Thanks for your comment and I will create more puzzles like this in the future.
