6 hours on the train today means I've resorted to creeping people's back catalogs.
What's the function of a betting cell?
-----
The first sudoku streamers I saw when I first joined the world of variant sudoku (Zetamath and Rangsk) would put a betting cell in each puzzle they solved. Their audience would try to guess which digit would go in the betting cell. I thought that was a common thing, and included one in many of my puzzles.

You are quite correct. I was inspired by the shape, and wanted an image that had a lot of green. Webb's photo had a lot of gold and blue so I used this one instead.

I want to remind you that this picture of Pillars of Creation was not taken by the James Webb Space Telescope, but by the Hubble Space Telescope.

Thank you for the fun puzzle, heliopolix! In particular, the interaction of the whisper line and the killer cage was very interesting. I kept missing some details after the break-in, but after that the solve had a nice flow.
