In Example 1, a 3x3 box with a Game of Life pattern is shown (green for Alive cells, grey for Dead cells). But the cells marked with a ! are unstable : they either are dead but with 3 alive neighbors, or alive but with less than 2 or more than 3 alive neighbors. Therefore this pattern is not a Still Life pattern, and can not appear in a Still Life Sudoku puzzle.
In Example 2, a 3x3 box is shown filled with digits and clues (circles and squares), the Game of Life pattern that is shown is stable, and all the clues are fulfilled. This could appear in a Still Life Sudoku puzzle.
Solution code: The digits in the alive cells of column 9, from top to bottom

This seemed approachable at first, but had some really tough bits just at the end. I imagine you can guess why r2c8 was my favourite bit - very sneaky! Great fun as ever :)

Hehehe, I most certainly can, as it was the most satisfying part to set -- glad you enjoyed! :D Speaks to your increasing mastery of the ruleset that you thought most of this puzzle approachable, as it's certainly on another level compared to the smaller grid ones over on Discord, so well done, and thanks as always for the great feedbacks!

Phew ... . Logic solving path with about two nasty boxes with unusual colouring. More a problem for those who are too familiar with the setting ;D. So everybody has its own challenge with your puzzles!
................
That is very well observed -- it happened to me more than one time to be tripped off by something due to too much familiarity (including in dodomos's Double Ender, which I see you solved as well -- thanks for your support for the ruleset!). And it also happened to me in a legit approachable puzzle, which I think would be a great recommandation if you want somehting fun to unwind from all that crazy solving streak haha. Here it is:

In any case, thanks so much as always for your solves and feedbacks! :D

And another still life masterpiece ! I really like this ruleset, from which you can create hard puzzles, or approachable puzzles, like this one, where there's a clear logical flow.
........
Ah, I'm really happy to hear that you like this ruleset -- I very much love it as well and it was my aim with these puzzles to show that it's not just a tricky, nerve-racking ruleset, but that it's actually quite fun. A huge thank you for the streak of solves on my puzzles and all the kind comments :D

Very nice puzzle with a smooth solve, thanks!
...............
Thank you so very much! I've been working quite a bit on this variant lately, and I couldn't hope for anything better than a comment like that, I'm glad to hear it's starting to take shape :D

Wow. You did an incredible job. The solve path is so much smoother and feels way more intentional than my old Still Life puzzles. Thank you for making this, it's a pleasure to see the ruleset put to use - and with that quality. If a Still Life puzzle has a shot at being featured on CtC, that would be this one (or maybe another one yet to come from you) !
............
:O That is some high praise, thank you so very much for such kind words -- and all the more flattering coming from you :D I hope you're not denigrating any of your SL puzzles, as I'm taking more and more pages from them in my quest to make an approchable Still Life puzzle haha -- especially Eternal Life, which to this day probably remains my favorite puzzle of all, but also your 6x6, which seems really close to get rated! As your very first one too, and plus SSG getting into the fray, I'm super happy to see that activity around GoL :D

Smooth...er than i expected at least! I remember having so much trouble with one of these (my 100th solve iirc). Seems fitting that id have half as much trouble on one of these for my 150th solve :D Thanks!
...........
Thank YOU for giving this one a shot even after what you seem to say was a rough experience with a similar one. I'm glad to hear this one went well, and even more to hear that these puzzles make for good milestone pieces! :D

It's nice to be able to use myprevious knowledge of this ruleset to do some more solving! This one with the full grid enables to make more deductions based on the colours which was a different exercise than in "stuctured" but quite fun too :)
.............
Thank you so much! About the grid size, yes, I like the challenge of trying to come up with a *truly* approachable Still Life puzzle and the various kinds of smaller formats are good for that and are fun too, but the 9x9 grids is really where it's at for that ruleset. Thanks again for giving this one a shot :D
