X-Wich Scraper
(Published on 20. December 2022, 04:44 by Mojo872)
My first attempt at an "ambiguous clues" sudoku - probably just a little "coffee break" puzzle for most solvers... Enjoy!
Rules:
- Place the digits 1-4 in each row, column and box.
- In addition, each of the clues outside the grid is ONE OF the following:
- X-Sum: the clue is the sum of the first X cells in the row/column, where X is the first digit in the row/column.
- Sandwich: the clue is the sum of the digits sandwiched between the 1 and the 4 in the row/column.
- Skyscraper: if each digit in the grid represents the height of a skyscraper, the clue indicates the number of "visible" skyscrapers along that row/column.
- N.B: not all clue types are necessarily used.

For me more like trial and error. Nice ruleset. Thx.

That was great! Very fun how everything disambiguated nicely at the end. :)

Some very fun deductions in there, would love to see a bigger version of this idea!

It might have been a small puzzle but I liked the way one clue led to the next :)
