This puzzle is a hybrid of roller coaster and japanese sums. One of my more challenging puzzles, where the break-in requires a good understanding of the ruleset and its implications. Enjoy!
Rules:
Place the digits 1-9 exactly once in each row and column.
Draw a closed loop in the grid, that runs through the middle points of orthogonally connected cells and doesn't visit a cell more than once.
A number to the left of the grid indicates either the sum of digits on a horizontal loop segment (roller coaster clue), or the sum of digits in a contiguous segment of cells which are unused by the loop (japanese sums clue) in that row.
A number at the top of the grid indicates either the sum of digits on a vertical loop segment, or the sum of digits in a contiguous segment of cells which are unused by the loop in that column.
If a row or column has at least one given clue, all clues are given, and they are in the correct order.
A ? in a clue may stand for any digit 0-9, but leading zeros are not allowed. A * may stand for any positive integer.
Mischievous Cranky (example puzzle with digits 1-6):

Kann es sein dass das Beispielrätsel noch eine zweite mögliche Lösung hat?
Wenn man die 5 in Zeile 5 als Rollercoaster-Hinweis interpretiert und auch die 8 in Spalte 3, erhält man auch eine Lösung, die alle Bedingungen erfüllt. Oder habe ich etwas übersehen?
Der Rollercoaster würde dann schon bei R6C3 nach oben abbiegen. Die untere Zeile würde 435216 lauten.

Superb ! The end resolution is, as stated by others, kind of miraculous, as it seems there will not be enough information left to get it done. The opening and construction of the loop is super fun too. Thanks :)

I made a major update to the aesthetics and wording of the ruleset. Nothing about the puzzle itself changed, but it should be more up to standards now.

fantastic puzzle. Adding the empty cells to the count gives a boost to some new logic. A real gem. thanks

Was für ein fantastisches Rätsel! Wenn man den Anfang mal hat, geht es immer irgendwo ein Stückchen weiter! Man kann beim Weg aber schnell Fehler machen.

Cool puzzle, thanks! The additional clues of the unused cells make for some really interesting and original logic.

I tested this puzzle and found it had a really creative and deceptively difficult opening sequence, followed by a nice chain of smooth and pleasant deductions. The resolution at the end is wizardry. Awesome puzzle
