Setting Challenge with XeonRisq (irregular, renban, quads)
(Published on 14. December 2022, 01:50 by Chilly)
XeonRisq and I were wondering what would happen if we both started with the same irregular grid and the same constraints and each made a puzzle. So we did. Here are both of them - "Octoquads" by me, and "Sticks and Stones" by Xeon. To claim the solve you need one row from each puzzle, so you'll need to solve both. Enjoy.
The Rules (for both puzzles):
Solution code: Row 8 from Octoquads followed by row 8 from Sticks and Stones
Solved by nmmc123, apendleton, Fw1728, Jlrice2, Leonard Hal, cdwg2000, by81996672, ScatterBrain, cegie, WarriorKitten, SKORP17, AvonD, peterkp, Counterfeitly, Dermerlin, dskaff, butch02, farodin64, AN_not_IO, zuzanina, mitch.keeping, Statistica, Elliott810, zorant, achim-t, Askloomok, rudaass, hungkenchanlee, Ulistef, tobymgk, fuxia, Felis_Timon, PippoForte, jkl, zrbakhtiar, Jdt112

Both puzzles are well setted with a smooth flow, and the winner is ... every guy who is playing this puzzles :-)
Thanks! We enjoyed setting these for sure :)

Is there a BIG renban (8 fields) in "Sticks and Stones" ?
Or are those 2 smaller renbans (each 4 fields)?
EDIT: i was able to answer the question myself
Glad you figiured it out - all the renban lines are straight so it's two smaller renbans

The setup of the 2 puzzles is similar, but the logic is quite different. How nice!
Thanks - glad you enjoyed!
