Super happy with this one, I hope you enjoy!
This was the winning entry from the 28 Nov Speed Setting Competition in CtC Community discord server, with the theme of "What's that doing here?".
Classic Sudoku Rules Apply... yeah, it looks like a classic sudoku, but what are those funny arrows in the grid?
Given digits in the grid that have arrows correspond to Castle Wall clues in the given directions.
Given digits in the grid without arrows will be invalid Castle Wall clues in all possible directions.
Castle Wall Rules: Draw a non-intersecting orthogonal loop through the centers of some cells. The loop may not enter cells containing clues/given digits. For this puzzle, any clues should be considered "gray" - clue cells may either be inside or outside the loop. A number represents the sum of the lengths of loop segments in the indicated direction. (Or alternatively how many cell borders are crossed in the indicated direction)
The resulting Castle Wall loop is a standard German Whisper line. Neighboring digits on a German Whisper line must vary by at least 5.
Solution code: Digits from row 3, followed by the number of cells the path turns in in each of rows 2, 3, 4, and 5 (13 digits, no spaces, i.e.1234567891230)

That was really cool, I hadn't done a castle wall sudoku before, but I quite enjoyed that! :)

Fantastic hybrid, the castle wall rules work very well with sudoku, and I had a great time puzzling my way through this.
