As far as I know this ruleset is original, though I wouldn't be surprised if it's not - do let me know if you've seen it before! Either way, it should be fairly approachable!

Normal sudoku rules apply.

A digit, N, in a marked cell (green circle) describes how many of its neighbours are of the opposite parity to N. For example, a marked 3 would have exactly 3 even neighbours, and a marked 6 would have exactly 6 odd neighbours.

(For clarity: neighbours are orthogonal AND diagonal, and the grid does NOT loop around in any kind of cylinder or mobius strip. E.g. r1c5's neighbours are r1c4, r1c6, r2c4, r2c5 and r2c6)
