Psychic Psycho (Psycho Killer)

(Published on 2. December 2022, 00:09 by Skunkworks)

Psychic Psycho

Formerly known as Project B.
Happy Birthday to Bremster from the Sudoku Skunkworks.

Rules

Normal Sudoku and Killer cage rules apply.
Digits in cages must sum to the number given in the top left corner. Digits may not repeat in cages.
Black cages are regular killer cages.
Red cages are both psycho killer cages AND regular killer cages.
In psycho killer cages, the digits in the cage point to boxes in the grid, and provide a referred cell which is in the same position in both boxes. The digits referenced by the cage must also sum to the small clue in the top left corner of the cage.
For example, if r1c9 were an 8 and r2c9 were a 6 (making a valid 14 killer cage), the referred cells in boxes 8 and 6 (r7c6 and r5c9 respectively) must also sum to 14.

Using the example values (which may or may not be correct), the 8 and 6 in the green cells sum to 14 as identified. The indexed yellow cells must also sum to 14. they can be 9 and 5, 8 and 6 or even 7 and 7. 8 and 6 would not work in this case due to Sudoku but would be allowed where other rules do not prevent it.

Lovely modification to killer! I appreciate how approachable the added killer+psycho killer combination makes the whole psycho killer constraint.
