Event Horizon (Doubler Region Sum Lines)

(Published on 21. November 2022, 00:19 by Xendari)

Event Horizon
This should be quite an approachable puzzle; it features an opening deduction that instantly came to my mind once doublers were popularised (thank you Zetamath!), but the final grid looks very different to the way I thought it might have played out. As always, your feedback is appreciated, and I hope you enjoy Event Horizon :)

Rules
Sudoku: Normal sudoku rules apply.
Region Sum Lines: Values in cells along a region sum line have an equal sum "N" within each box that line passes through.
Note: no two lines touch or cross each other; the line at r5c5 branches.
Doublers: One cell in each house (row, column, and box) is a doubler. Every number from 1-9 is doubled once. These cells count as double their value for the purposes of region sum lines; i.e., a doubler 2 + a normal 4 = a doubler 4.

Had a very fun time solving this puzzle. I like that the entry point was not too hard to spot. Challenging but never felt totally lost.
