Hidden Haisudoku

I really like how this puzzle turned out. Feels like maybe a 3* if you are familiar with Haisu, and 4* if not, listing it at 3*, but please rate how you see fit. Enjoy!

Rules
Normal Sudoku Rules Apply. Place the digits 1-9 in each row, column, and region (3x3 box) without repetition

Haisu Rules Apply. Draw a path between the centers of cells, starting at green (r1c1) and ending at red (r8c8), which passes through all cells without intersecting. A digit N found in a cell within a dashed cage indicates that the path passes through that cell on its Nth visit to the region/box the digit is in. Digits may not repeat in a cage.

Clues outside the grid sum the digits found on the first contiguous line segment on the path seen from that clue that is oriented in it's row/column. An example image is given under the puzzle for these clues.

SudokuPad Link (Use pen tool for path, answer check only on digits)
Clue Example
Legacy SudokuPad link with missing given digit accessible here. (solvers pre-May 2023)

Solution code: Row 2 digits, followed by the number of cells in which the path turns in row 2, followed by the number of cells in which the path turns in column 5 (total of 11 digits, no spaces)

Can the line move diagonally or only orthogonally?

I'm not sure I understand about the clues - if the first line segment seen by the clue is not perpendicular to the clue, does it mean that only the digit seen is counted, or is the whole segment counted?

Like...

Let's say there's a clue above R1C5, and the line comes up from R2C4, moves to R1C4-R1C5-R1C6, before turning down again to R2C6. Does only R1C5 count as the segment to be summed to the clue, or all three cells of R1C4+5+6?

It's a great idea to combine Haisu with Sudoku.
This puzzle definitely needs more solves.

I solved in SP but the solution code does not work. Looks like SP and Penpa are two different puzzles. Nice puzzle anyway.

*edit* went back and solved the Penpa version. Both nice puzzles.

Thanks for giving it a try and sorry for the confusion with the SP link - fixed now! - rockratzero
