[Fog of War Series] 4. Labyrinth

(Published on 3. November 2022, 15:51 by AstralSky)

This is the 4th puzzle in my Fog of War series which aim to bring a new theme for every puzzle in the series.
This time, the theme is Explore The Labyrinth
Below are the rules.
  • 1.Normal Sudoku rules apply.
  • 2.White squares between cell borders indicate these cells are connected. Connected cells constructs a labyrinth and never form a loop.
  • 3.Digits along an arrow sum to its attached circle. All arrow circles are single digit, and arrows only go past cells connected by white squares.
  • 4.Digits along the path from start to exit must strictly increase or strictly decrease, and such monotonicity switches whenever you make a turn. Two adjacent digits along a path towards a dead end must not sum to 10.
  • 5.Digit in yellow rectangle represents how many cells it can see in all possible directions(excluding itself.) Cell borders obstruct vision.

Don't get why says solution correct in Sudokupad, but entered here says it's wrong.

This was probably the hardest puzzle i've solved so far. Took me nearly 5 hours but was extremely enjoyable. Thanks for setting this amazing puzzle.

I don't even know where to begin. This puzzle became my nemesis. It took me a total of 55 active hours, spread over 3 months time total. I hated and loved this puzzle in equal measure. I recommend anyone who is solving 4-5 star puzzles regularly to give it a try. To be honest, I can't say why I struggled so much, the previous puzzles in the series didn't take near as long. Maybe this one was more difficult overall, maybe the concept of labyrinth threw me off. Regardless of what caused it, I persevered and now I can finally add my name to the list of people who solved it.

This was an amazing journey, thank you!

Wow! A FOW puzzle! All solvers are waiting for another FOW!
But only 7 solvers until now.
Sorry, but I don't understand the rules in spite of a translation.
So I am waiting for Simon ...

The link goes to the alpha version of the website, which is prone to being broken. You should be using beta. Just replacing alpha with beta in the url will work.

I got pretty far without needing it so I completely forgot about the last bit of rule 4. Puzzle seemed impossibly hard but early sections would probably have been a bit easier if I had been thinking of it.
