Killer Sudomino (Killer Sudoku+Fillomino Hybrid)

MOSTLY normal sudoku rules:
Place the digits 1-9 into the grid such a that no digit repeats in any row, column, 3x3 box, OR COLORED REGION.
Fillomino rules with a twist:
Divide the grid into colored regions so that no two colored regions of the same size shares an edge. Numbers that match the colored regions size CANNOT be placed into the cells in that region.
(Example: a colored region of size 3 cannot contain any 3's within it.)
Killer Cages:
The small number in the corner of the cages indicate both the total size of the colored regions they contain cells from, as well as the sum of the digits within that cage. Digits can't repeat within a cage.
Little Killers:
The indicated diagonals show both the total size of the colored regions they contain cells from, as well as the sum of the digits along that diagonal.
(Example: a clue of 7 would indicate that the digits in/along it would either come from the same 7 cell colored region, or multiple colored regions whose total size equals 7.)

UPDATE: The ending was far trickier than I'd initially intended, so I've revised the image and links to a version with an additional cage to smooth out the ending. The new version is playable here on F-Puzzles or CTC (SudokuPad).

Solution code: Column 2 of the solution followed by the region sizes of each digit in column 2 of the solution. (18 digits no spaces. This solution code would be 124635552554 for the example puzzle)

That was fun! I solved the "revised" version, and the end still put up the most struggle of the entire puzzle.

Great puzzle!
I've tried the reduced difficulty version just now, maybe I'll try the original version later.

Ah... ok, I'm done, I can clearly feel that the original version is a lot harder than the later versions.
From my personal experience, if the killer cage in box 1 is not added, the difficulty of this puzzle may be 5 stars.
