Breadcrumbs (Ring-Ring/Masyu/Ambiguity)
(Published on 28. October 2022, 12:53 by dumediat)
This is the puzzle that I created for zetamath's October 2022 pencil puzzle setting challenge. I hope that you enjoy the puzzle. Ratings, comments, and feedback are much appreciated! Please feel free to reach out to me on Discord if you have any comments or questions. Please also feel free to try my other puzzles here
Rules:
- 10x10 Ring-Ring/Masyu: Draw rectangular loops through the centers of some cells so that every white cell gets used. Loops may not travel through black cells. The sides of different rectangles may intersect each other, but not turn at their intersection or otherwise overlap. When a loop goes through a black circle, it must turn and travel straight through the cells on either side. When a loop goes through a white circle, it must go straight through and turn in at least one of the cells on either side. Each circle contains loop segments from exactly one rectangle.
- The gray nodes represent either black squares, white circles, or black circles. The solver must determine what each gray node represents (solution check requires correct loops and shading).

Solution code: Nodes only from row 9 and column 10 using the following indicators (8 characters total): Black square = X - White circle = W - Black circle = B

Absolutely lovely puzzle! Everything from the concept to the execution is intriguing but very navigable. Really happy to see more ring rings coming from the pencil puzzle challenge!
