Rules: Normal sudoku rules apply.
Each box has one black cage. The sums for these nine black cages consist of three distinct values, repeated three times each. Considering the 3x3 grid of boxes, no black cage total is repeated in any row or column of boxes.
For example, if the sum for the Box 2 black cage were 20, none of the black cages in boxes 1, 3, 5, or 8 could also be 20.
The same rule applies for blue cages, with a different set of three values.
Solution code: Row 8 (9 digits, left to right)

Thanks! Testers were evenly split between 3* and 4* difficulty as well. I will bump up the estimate.

Very nice puzzle, but, I agree with ScatterBrain, it lays between 3 and 4 stars for difficulty.
