It is been a while since constructed my last puzzle, however after solving Udukos's puzzle "Nurikabe Killer Sudoku", I was inspired to set this one.
Rules: Rules:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- Shade in some cells under the following rules:
1. You cannot shade/ fill in cells containing numbers in their top left corner.
2. The digit in the cell with a number in the top left corner tells the number of contiguous white cells i.e. it represents a Nurikabe clue.
3. The number in the top left corner represents a killer clue that tells the sum of all the digits in that white area (unshaded area). Numbers cannot repeat within a white area.
4. Each area of white cells is separated by black cells.
5. The black cells are linked to form a continuous wall. Black cells cannot form a 2x2 square.
6. All the Nurikabe clues have been given.
Note: the given clues are not necessarily located in the leftmost cell of the highest row of that white area.
You can find a 6*6 example puzzle illustrating how the rules work on Udukos's puzzle page: Nurikabe Killer Sudoku

Always fun to see another person take on this ruleset - and without the need for any auxiliary clues! Lovely puzzle!
One note on the rules. As written, it could be interpreted that unclued unshaded regions are allowed as long as the region's size doesn't appear within it (i.e. the region doesn't contain a valid nurikabe clue).

Lovely and fun puzzle with a very smooth solve path! Did find this a lot easier than udukos's one but both are very enjoyable nonetheless ;)
