Stickman Rides the School Bus

(Published on 25. October 2022, 01:10 by Will Power)

Stickman Adventure #5: Normal Sudoku rules apply. Numbers on green lines (school bus) are at least 5 apart from their neighbors on the line. Numbers on purple lines (stickman) are a set of non-repeating, consecutive numbers, in any order. Numbers with a V between them sum to 5. Numbers with a black dot between them are in a ratio of 2:1. Not all V and dots are given.

@Will Power I've only recently stumbled across your puzzles and just wanted to say thanks for your amazing efforts producing so many entertaining puzzles. Loving the stick figures too - very creative.

@grantmnz Thanks for the kind comments. Do you enjoy particular kinds of rule sets or graphics? For German whispers try "Whisper at Maximum Volume". For Odd/Even try "Square Dance". For Little Killer and sandwich, try "Nothing in the Grid". If you like pentominoes, "Animal Farm" is so outside the box I give you the solution to work backward. 8-) My personal favorite 2 are a prison escape, and then escaping the country "Great Escape" and "Great Escape II". Peace to you.

Where is a V possible and not given?

@Jordan Timm - When I use X and V or Kropki dots, the solvers demand a statement whether all possible X and V are given. In cases where I did show all V, but the solver did not need to know this negative constraint to solve the puzzle, if I say all V (for example) are given, I get negative feedback because the puzzle was solvable without knowing that in advance. A more accurate statement would be "No negative constraints", but my puzzles are geared toward newer solvers, who may not know exactly what that means. It seems I can't make everyone happy. I am sorry you felt you needed to look for the unlabeled V pairs to solve the puzzle. -Will Power
