Snakes and Skyscrapers
Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Skyscrapers: Digits in the grid represent heights of skyscrapers AND snake cells. Clues outside of the grid on the LEFT and RIGHT indicate the number of skyscrapers visible in that row, looking in the direction starting from the clue.
- Snake Sums: Clues outside of the grid on the TOP and BOTTOM indicate that a snake starts in the adjacent cell. The digit in this cell indicates the length of the snake. The sum of all digits on a snake is equal to its given clue.
- Snake Constraints: Snakes are a collection of orthogonally adjacent cells that do not branch and do not touch themselves. No single cell may belong to more than one snake. Digits may repeat on snakes if allowed by other rules. Snakes must not touch each other orthogonally. Snake cells must not be visible when looking in the direction starting from a skyscraper clue.

There might be some confusion regarding the skyscraper clues and the snake. Currently on the CTC link, it says "Snake cells are not visible" (which is quite common and indicates their value is ignored), while here it says "Snake cells must not be visible" (which is more unusual and would suggest that their values must be such that they are hidden). I'm guessing the latter is the right one?

The latter is correct yes. If you were standing on a skyscraper clue looking into the grid, you must not be able to see a snake clue in that direction.
