I rated this 1/5 difficulty.
Fun coloring puzzle with some nice ideas. I solved this puzzle similarly to how I solve XV puzzles with a negative constraint, but the killer cages did a nice job disambiguating cells as an alternative to a negative constraint.
I thought this puzzle was easy, but still entertaining. Great puzzle to introduce a beginner to coloring strategies for XV variants. It uses simple sudoku techniques to disambiguate colors, and is satisfying to solve. The coloring didn't require utilizing kropki difference tricks (or other more intermediate/advancdd tricks) to eliminate options.
The kropki dots for the final disambiguation were nice, clean, and straighforward - so they should be approachable for beginners.
Great puzzle!

wow tough one. For me it is a difficulty 3 (or even 4). Took me some time to figure out the way, but once I got the concept, it was doable. Thanks for that puzzle - didn't seem minimalistic but I think it is not overclued!
