Reflections (Antiknight Killer Sudoku)

(Published on 11. September 2022, 12:34 by Phistomefel)

This puzzle is a killer sudoku with an anti-knight constraint.

Here are the rules:
  1. Fill the grid with the numbers from 1 to 9 so that in each row, column, and 3x3 block, each digit occurs exactly once.
  2. Cells separated by a knight's move may not contain the same digit.
  3. We call an area surrounded by a dashed line a cage. Digits may not repeat within a cage. A number in the top left corner of a cage indicates the sum of all digits in this cage.
The puzzle is also available online via F-Puzzles or CTC-App. Have fun solving!

Great puzzle. Struggled with finding the break in but once I found it just kept flowing from there... my favorite kind of difficulty; hard but doable haha. Thanks for sharing

One of the best break-in ideas I've seen in a while. Great puzzle all the way through!

Stunning puzzle. I missed some of the intended logic myself but managed to solve it. Then I got to see Simon's brilliant solve and was thrilled to fully appreciate this puzzle's beauty. Thanks @Phistomefel!

Magnificent setting, what a fantastic solve path! The initial idea was lovely, but it also served as the path for the following logic, and I was shocked when the 7 and 11 cages came into play. ;)

I saw Phistomefel puzzle and started looking at set theory and other harder ways to break in. After couple of hours I thought of trying basics and there it was. Nice break in and then logic flows smoothly but slowly. Very satisfying in the end. Thanks for this beauty.

Thank you so much, lerroyy and Samish!

@Samish: I'm glad to hear that. I was a bit afraid that it might be difficult at times to find what to look for next.

I absolutely loved it, I found it extremely intuitive as where to look all along and it was surely my smoothest solve on one of your puzzles. Thank you :-)
