Wow I'm so glad I found this and decided to give it a whirl, it's weird and it's tricky. But it's engaging and so rewarding.

The ruleset can seem daunting at first, but when you start to break it down into bite sized pieces it becomes so much more clear as you get through the solve.

Thanks for taking your time to set this!

@Calvinball Thanks for taking the time to solve it!

Pure magic. It was not hard, once I knew where to look, but it wasn't always obvious. The way column 8 worked itself out was extraordinary and I still haven't understand how. Will check out the other 4.

Thanks, a meaty challenge - very happy to get through this one. Several times I was stumped before spotting something. It would be interesting to see the setter's intended path to see how closely I adhered to it (if there is one).

@StephenR Thanks for sticking with it! The OctoPuzzles website will soon be updating with the ability to create walkthroughs for puzzles you publish on the site, so I'll be uploading my intended solution as soons as that feature is available

Not so hard to understand, but definitely makes good use of scratch paper to make sure all the calculations line up. Very well made puzzle, enjoyed it a ton
