Outsider (10x10)

(Published on 4. September 2022, 20:38 by M.K.)

Rules:

  • Every row and column must be filled with the digits 0 to 9 once each.
  • Digits in a cage and digits separated by a knight's move (in chess) cannot repeat.
  • Digits on a green line differ by at least 5.
  • Digits on an arrow sum to the digit in that arrow's circle.
  • Digits seperated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio.
  • Inside a cage, a horizontal pair of digits on the same clue represents the sum of all digits in that cage (e.g. 4 + 5 = 45). Not all sums are given.

This was an excellent puzzle with a very engaging rule set. I can’t remember the last time I solved anything that seemed so original. Certainly deserves more solves.

Thank you! Have a look at Double Agent by DadJokes, it has the same grid with different rules. I really liked that one! (M.K.)

I do not understand the final rule. What do you mean by "each horizontal pair of digits on the same clue"?
-----------------------------------
Look at cage 4, there can be a horizontal pair of digits on two different arrows in row 5 (the tip and the circle), or a pair on the arrow in row 6. "Same clue" means same arrow. (M.K.)

Very nice, but only 3 difficulty for me.

Yeah, 5 stars may be too much. It's still a very challenging puzzle. Thanks for solving! (M.K.)
