Escape from the Underworld
Hi Sisyphos,I think you've been rolling that boulder up the hill for long enough. Since I still have a score to settle with Hades and Thanatos, and since Christmas is upon us, I want to help you make your escape from the underworld now, using the enclosed map. But it will require you to get all your intellectual resources back online, after all those fruitless demonstrations of strength. Go on, then, I believe in you!
- Every row and column contains each digit from 1 to 9 exactly once.
- In addition, some cells are to be shaded, so that all shaded cells are orthogonally connected to the edge and all unshaded cells form an orthogonally connected cave.
- Digits on the edge represent Sisyphos clues. The boulder rolls only through the interior of the cave, whereby higher digits represent greater depths in the cave itself. Thus the boulder can only move in the direction of higher digits. Beyond that, normal Sisyphos rules, with which I'm sure you're familiar, apply.
- Inside the cave are some circled cells, and the digits therein indicate how many unshaded cells can be seen in vertical and horizontal direction, including the circled cell itself. All remaining digits in the cave interior could not be circled, as they would give incorrect indications.
- Shaded digits have no meaning. However, a digit may be repeated (even several times) within an orthogonally connected mass of cave wall only if it is not shaded anywhere else.

Few 'Wichtel' are in my reach. This was an incredibly nice puzzle with a very satisfying solve. Thanks. (imo way harder than the 3* proposed)

Very hard, and very rewarding!
By the way- the english translation of the last rule "However, within any orthogonally connected mass of cave wall, a shaded digit may only be repeated (potentially several times) if that digit appears in no other connected group of shaded cells." seems to imply that this rule does not apply to isolated wall cells, which threw me off at the end of my solve.
