Double Vision

(Published on 5. September 2022, 14:00 by djorr)

Rules: Exactly one cell in every row, column, and box is a doubler, which means it counts for double its value. Every digit 1-9 is doubled exactly once.

Blank cages in the grid are killer cages. In these cages, digits may not repeat and all killer cages must sum to the same total, which is to be determined by the solver.

Cages with numbers in the top left corner are look-and-say cages. Digits may repeat in these cages. These cage totals should be read as a look-and-say number and the totals describe what values are in the cage. For example, a 12 cage means there is 1 digit in the cage with a value of 2. Or, a 26 cage means there are 2 digits in the cage with a value of 6.

This is a really nice puzzle. Being new to the ruleset I had to take some care - it is easy to make false assumptions.

Thanks Fool on Hill! I'm glad you got through it and enjoyed it :)
