- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Digits in columns 1, 5, and 9, marked red, index the location of 1, 5, and 9, respectively, in their row. (For example, if r2c1 were a 3, then 1 in row 2 would be forced in column 3, putting 1 in r2c3).
- Green lines are german whispers. Adjacent digits connected by a german whisper must differ by at least 5.
