Where did the king go?

(Published on 20. August 2022, 16:04 by Jagga)

The king is missing and so is his cage! This is the third puzzle I have set. Previous puzzles:

Cagey Royalty
Prison Nobles

This is definitely the hardest puzzle yet, but it also features the best logic (in my opinion) and the most time and effort put into it. I hope you'll consider giving it a go despite the difficulty. Feedback is always appreciated!

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits in a killer cage may not repeat and sum to the number at the top left of the cage.
Additionally:
- A digit in a blue cage may not see the same digit by a knight's move in chess from that cage.
- A digit in a green cage may not see the same digit by a queen's move in chess from that cage.

Small break-in hint for those that need it:

Where do 1's go in the puzzle?

Solution code: Row 2 and column 7, 18 digits no spaces

What a puzzle, I had to try four times .. the break in -to me- was actually easy (saw it on the preview image, otherwise I wouldn't have attempted a puzzle with a five star rating being new here and such...)
Anyways the 28 cross broke me to pieces, I'm fairly certain I made the exact same mistake twice (removing an option from the 15 cage for the very wrong reason) and it took a brand new and totally fresh mistake to realize I was looking at the wrong thing at the wrong time...
MAYBE improper labeling /coloring and crosschecking (yes numbers letters and colours as well as a pen and paper on the side for some if-then conditions) and to me that still was a tough nut to crack, may not mean much but the 5 star rating seems apropiate to me.. would've loved to be able to tell 4 and 5 apart a bit earlier

proper use of labeling and other markings for unknown digits make this puzzle a solid 3.5/4 out of 5 star difficulty, with a smooth solve path
