Digits in cells with a gray circle must be odd.
Digits in cells with a gray square must be even.

Beautiful puzzle :) Although definitely easier than 4 stars! I loved the use of the 258 columns and negative constraint!

I found it a bit easier than 4 stars, but excellent puzzle. I like the occasional negative constraint puzzle and definitely like the indexing. Well done!

Thanks! The initial difficulty rating is just a guess on my part, so I'll be interested to see where it lands after enough solvers have given their ratings. I was on the fence between 3 and 4.

That was fun! Hardly have I ever experienced more completely different levels of difficulty within a single puzzle - quite challenging but still approachable break-in, very difficult in the middle game and just a fill-in at the end.
