All Things Being Equal

This is my first puzzle, I hope you will like it.
Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- All cages and marked diagonals sum to the same number which is to be found by the solver. They may include repeated digits if allowed by the other rules.
- The inequality sign points to the lower digit.
- Three of the nine digits are always grouped together in a set of orthogonally connected cells without repeats. Those sets cannot touch each other orthogonally. The green shapes are two of those sets.
Solution code: Digits from column 3 from top to bottom.

Hardest puzzle I've done by far but so much fun! I normally do 1s or 2s but I'd heard this was great and it was.

I laughed at SimplePurpleFrog's comment because I had a similar thought. I came here to enter numbers into a grid, not a solution box!
But it was a wonderful puzzle. Well done.

I loved this puzzle, thank you. Great logic.
But, really, asking for 27 digits! The standard used to be 18, but the trend is moving towards 9 these days.
