Triple Decker (Between Sandwich)

(Published on 3. August 2022, 17:53 by tallcat)

Even after 50 puzzles, I am still trying my hand at constraints that are new to me. If I'm honest, Sandwich sudokus were never a favorite of mine - but i thought there was potential when combining it with Between Lines. Hope you enjoy the result!

Normal Sudoku rules apply

Between Lines: Cells along lines between two filled circles must have values between those in the circles. Digits may repeat on lines if allowed by other rules.

Sandwich: Clues outside the grid are the sum of the digits between the 1 and 9 in the corresponding row or column.

Can be played online at f-puzzles or CTC

Solution code: Row 8 (left to right) followed by column 4 (top to bottom). 18 digits, no spaces.

I was wondering until very late how I'd be able to disambiguate this, and once I understood I really like how you did it. A very fun puzzle all the way. Thanks.

Nice opening, then it got trickier towards the end but no less engaging with bunch of fascinating deductions, it was a fun trip :)

Thanks @tallcat. Very nice interaction of the rules. In my solve, 1 and 9 were almost last ones to solve. Thats usually not the case in sandwich puzzle. Loved it.

Thank you - loved the interaction between these constraints and the logical flow.

And thanks for all your other puzzles as well, they always are a pleasure to solve :-)
