In the grid, some cells are to be blackened so that there is no more than one black cell in any row or column. A closed loop is to be drawn through all other cells. A digit from 1 to 7 is to be entered in each non-blackened cell in such a way that no digit occurs more than once in a row or column. The numbers outside the grid indicate, in the correct order, the sums of the digits in contiguous areas of the loop. In addition, the worm rule must be observed along the path, i.e. the digits must alternately increase and decrease.
Blackout: Within the grid, cells with digits may also be blacked out; these are then considered black cells.
An example can be found in the 2022 Championship Guide on page 10.
Solution code: The last two rows in reading direction; X for a black cell.
