Place the digits from 0-9 once in each row, column, and 3x3 box. To accommodate this, one cell in each row, column, and box is a Schrödinger cell that contains two digits.
Adjacent digits along a green whisper line differ by at least 5. For the purposes of whispers, Schrödinger cells count as the sum of both digits.
Solve on CtC.
Solution code: Every Schrödinger cell from top to bottom, with the lower digit first.

The opening is so counter-intuitive that I almost gave up.

What a brilliant challenge that was - that beginning is magnificent - and very hard. A joy to work it out.

Beautiful and very hard S-cell puzzle! I agree with RJBlarmo, Box 9 is where the magic happens, once you convince yourself your logical path up to this point is rock-solid and there must be a way this works. The end of the puzzle still has some challenges, but it is way easier than the opening. Thanks !!

Great puzzle and really challenging! Took me a long time to understand how to make use of the box 9 line configuration.
